Dr. Leeb leads the Advisory Board of Leor Exploration & Production LLC. Additionally, he's a board member of Electrum USA Ltd. and Sunshine Silver Mines, companies that explore natural resources, especially precious metals and energy. In 2007 Leor sold assets to Canadian-based Encana Cp. for over $2.5 billion. Stephen Leeb is also a board member and managing director of PlainSight Group, an innovation company centered at Yale University.
Education & Notoriety
Stephen Leeb earned a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School of Business, a Master’s in Mathematics, and a Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Illinois, authoring many research papers on psychology and statistics in the peer-reviewed journal Psychological Reports. Currently, Dr. Leeb is Executive Editor of the award-winning investment newsletter The Complete Investor, which he founded in 2003. The publication was awarded in 2003 and 2005 for editorial excellence by the Newsletter and Electronic Publishers Foundation. The Fox Business News journalist Charlie Gasparino referred to Stephen Leeb as one of the country's foremost financial experts, also considered one of the greatest long-term strategists of his generation by American billionaire businessman Thomas Kaplan.
